Need Artificial Grass, Fake Grass, Synthetic Lawn?

January 27, 2010

We strive to make our bosses happy.  The only boss we listen to is YOU the customer, that’s why Forever Putting Greens won the “best of Livermore” award from the US Commerce Association for customer satisfaction in 2009.  We love to keep customers happy with our attention to detail and follow up calls.   Not only do we install state of the art landscape grass, we also install playground grass that comes equipped with a 12 foot fall rating to go beneath play structures as well as Dog Grass that is perfect for your dog run or pet area.  Some of our products come with a 10 year warranty……longest warranty in the business.  Also, we like to utilized  high face weight turf products.  Face weight is a measurement of the thickness or density.  While our competitors sell you a sparse product and fill it with messy crumb rubber like a football field, we simply use more beautiful fibers.

For people who just love the look of a low face weight product or for those people with dogs, we offer an acrylic sand infill product.  Rubber and silica sand retain moisture so they are not the best to use if you have multiple dogs “going’ on the grass.   The green colored acrylic sand takes the place of rubber and silica sand, it doesn’t retain moisture and it adds another green hue to the lawn.

The Alternative to a Rock Base Synthetic Putting Green

January 27, 2010
The Alternative to a Rock Base Synthetic Putting Green
There are many steps involved in creating a synthetic putting green.  Removal of existing grass and earth to a depth of 3-4 inches, checking for proper drainage, rock installation and compaction, and finally the installation of the putting turf itself.  A bad sub-base equals a bad putting surface.  There must be adequate room to make all this happen.  What if you don’t have the adequate space needed in your yard for a successful installation?  What if you don’t even have a yard at all?  The pros at Forever Putting Greens have the answer.  They have many alternatives to a rock base synthetic putting green to help you work on one of the most frustrating aspects of the game of golf, putting.
Tour Links Putting Green
With a Tour Links putting green the need for grass removal and a rock sub-base are eliminated.  Tour Links is a system of interlocking rugged plastic panels that virtually go together like a puzzle. They can be installed over the existing ground surface of a backyard, deck, or even a rooftop.  If more contour or “break” is needed, this can be achieved by using Tour Links contoured foam pad.  Just place it on the ground first, and build the panels on top.  It is simple to achieve a built-in custom look with Tour Links. First create a shape for your green.  Then simply layout a pattern of Tour Links center panels and transfer the shape.  Cut the shape out with a jigsaw and you are ready for turf.  Or you could use any of Tour Links 6 different shaped panels to create a more traditional look.
There are many benefits to a Tour Links putting green.  Whereas a rock base putting green is permanent, a Tour Links green can be moved to a different location if needed.  Also if one wants to add a few extra holes to their green, it is possible with Tour Links.  This can not be done with a rock base green.  To view some examples of this alternative to a rock base synthetic putting green go to www.grassforever.com under the featured installs section.
Portable Putting Green
If you are looking for a smaller alternative to a rock base synthetic putting green, Forever Putting Greens has the solution.  Their portable putting green can be rolled up and virtually moved from room to room.  These greens are made out of the same high quality turf as a rock base green, but for a more affordable price.  Each green comes with cups and flags and are excellent for practicing those short two to three foot putts. If you are in the way of the television, the wife will be happy, as you can pick it up and move it to another room.

Synthetic Bocce Ball Court in Pleasanton

January 27, 2010

Bocce ball is an ancient game developed in Italy, whose modern adaptation most closely resembles bowling. It is traditionally played on a court 60 – 90 feet long and 8 – 13 feet wide consisting of natural soil or asphalt. The rules are complex, but basically two players or two teams of 2, 3, or 4 people score points when their ball lands closest to the “jack”, a smaller ball thrown before any player throws their bocce ball. It requires skill, strategy and just a little luck. Bocce ball is a great game to play outside on a beautiful day. It is highly popular among seniors, but youths are sure to enjoy this accuracy game. With the vast popularity of the game many businesses are opening around the San Francisco Bay Area offering bocce ball, food, and drinks. It is a good way to spend a night out with friends. If you would like to enjoy this ever so popular sport in the privacy of your own home, then a bocce ball court in Pleasanton, Ca. is for you.

The crew at Forever Putting Greens is at the forefront of the synthetic bocce court industry. Their synthetic bocce ball court in Pleasanton is no exception. It includes features not found on a traditional bocce ball court. These will be discussed a little later. The client in Pleasanton already had the location picked out for their court. They had a wood border built and had plans to use a more traditional base for their court. After meeting with Forever Putting Greens it was decided that a synthetic surface would be much better than the crushed oyster shell surface more commonly used. This is due to the fact that with a synthetic surface there is little to no maintenance required.

The first step was to bring in the rock used as a base under the synthetic surface. This was a job in itself as the location of the court was tucked away in the client’s backyard down a flight of stairs and a meandering rock path. Once the proper amount of rock was brought in allowing for good drainage it was time to install the synthetic surface. The turf used is specific to bocce ball allowing any water that falls on the flat surface to drain through and promotes a perfect roll of the ball. The clients mentioned that not only are they fans of bocce ball, but enjoy golf as well. Forever Putting Greens took this into consideration and decided to give them a hybrid bocce court by installing a golf hole at each end of the court. After they are done with putting they can simply put in Forever Putting Greens proprietary foam cup plugs and are ready for bocce fun.

Synthetic – Artificial Bocce Ball Court In Walnut Creek CA

January 27, 2010

Originally developed in Italy, bocce ball is a sport similar to lawn bowling.  With its common ancestry coming from ancient games played in the Roman Empire, bocce ball is played throughout Europe as well as overseas in areas that have received Italian immigrants.  These areas include Australia, North America, and South America.  With the popularity of the sport catching on in the San Francisco Bay Area in the northern part of California, many businesses are opening allowing more people to enjoy this exciting game.  If you want to play bocce ball, and not deal with the crowds at these businesses, the crew at Forever Putting Greens can make it happen.  They can design and build a court for you similar to the synthetic bocce ball court in Walnut Creek, California they constructed.

The sales person from Forever Putting Greens met with the client at his home in Walnut Creek to discuss the plans regarding his bocce ball court.  He was given the choice of materials that could be used.  He decided against the traditional crushed oyster shell or compacted rock surface and instead opted for the more maintenance free synthetic turf.  The next step was to choose a location for his synthetic bocce ball court in Walnut Creek, California.  He wanted it built directly off his backyard patio.  He could have chosen a concrete border for his court, but decided a wood border would complement his yard better.

Once the post was set and the 2×12 boards were installed to complete the border, it was time to start the base for the synthetic surface.  This involves installing a 3-4 inch combination of ¾ inch crushed drain rock and decomposed granite also known as “DG”.  The rock is then compacted with a plate compactor to achieve a perfectly flat surface.  After getting the surface as flat as possible it is ready to install the drainable nylon turf which is cut to fit inside the border. Once the turf is laid out and secured, the surface gets coated with a fine 30 mesh sand which allows for a smooth fast roll.

Prior to installing the court the homeowner mentioned he enjoyed playing golf.  The sales person for Forever Putting Greens let him know he could have the only hybrid bocce ball court on the market.  This process is only done by Forever Putting Greens and involves setting a golf hole at each end of the court.  Now the homeowner can work on his golf game, and simply insert Forever Putting Greens proprietary foam cup plugs leaving a smooth surface for his bocce ball play.  Talk about having the best of both worlds.

Synthetic Lawn in Fremont, California
Do you ever drive through your neighborhood and see a lawn so nice it almost looks fake?  You think about all the time, energy and water wasted to keep a lawn looking nice.  If there was only a way to get that same look without all the hassle involved we would all be more efficient.  By having a synthetic lawn installed by the pros at Forever Putting Greens there is a way.  You can have that million dollar look for a lifetime without ever having to lift a finger.  Forever Putting Greens has been installing these beautiful lawns all throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, but today we are going to talk about the positive side of installing synthetic lawns in Fremont, California.
Fremont is located in the southeast section of the San Francisco Bay Area, home to an estimated 213,000 people as of 2010.  Fremont is now the fourth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area as the largest suburb in the metropolis Bay Area.  Whether it’s in a new home, older home, apartment or condo, a synthetic lawn in Fremont is the way to go.
Older homes in Fremont have large and mature trees on the property that shade the existing lawn, making it hard to from the much needed sun causing the lawn to die out.  The newer homes are so big that they shade the neighbor’s lawn making them also difficult to grow. Why not remedy this situation by removing the old dead lawn and replacing it with a lush new beautiful synthetic lawn by Forever Putting Greens.
Apartments and condominiums are also ideal for a synthetic lawn as well, because most yards are little landscaping or small concrete patios in the back.  So why not add some color and landscaping to that boring, cold, hard concrete and cover it up with something more pleasant to look at.  A nice little synthetic lawn would be very inexpensive and would add such a nice touch to those areas too.
If a synthetic lawn in Fremont is your dream, Forever Putting Greens can make it come true.  Why not get rid of this hassle, along with your lawn mower and have the pro’s install a maintenance free synthetic lawn at your house. Fremont Backyard Putting Greens

There is an old saying in golf, “drive for show, putt for dough”.  Sure it feels good to bomb a drive 300 + yards but like the saying states, the money is made on the green with the putter.  I have noticed that many amateur golfers don’t spend enough time working on their putting.  I myself am guilty of this to.  Most of my practice involves hitting bucket after bucket of balls and leaving only a few minutes putting on the practice green.  There is no better way to improve the most critical aspect of scoring then by installing a synthetic putting green in your backyard.  Here are a few of the Fremont backyard putting greens installed by the pros at Forever Putting Greens.

One of our Fremont synthetic nylon backyard putting green installs is located off of Mission Blvd. just east of Niles Canyon Road.  The customer, who is an employee at Callippee golf course in Pleasanton, California just couldn’t find enough time in his day to work on his putting at the course, and felt a green in his backyard was the answer.  The hard working and diligent installers at Forever Putting Greens worked with the customer to build a custom artificial putting green to his exact specifications including desired Stimp speed.  This green was built using the standard method of a 3-4 inch crushed drain rock and decomposed granite sub-base.  Once the sub-base was complete the customer was able to choose the shape of his green, as well as the location of the holes and amount of break to suit his level of putting.  The finished product was amazing and will surely give the customer the practice needed to “putt for dough”.

Another artificial Fremont backyard putting green installed by Forever Putting Greens is also located off of Mission Blvd. just west of Interstate 680.  The customer decided against the standard method of a rock sub-base and chose to build his green using Tourlinks panels instead.  Tourlinks is a system of interconnecting plastic panels that snap together like a puzzle and are secured to one another using screws.  This method is gaining popularity for a number of reasons.  Due to the fact that no rock is needed, a Tourlinks green can be installed either inside or out.  It can also make it possible to install an artificial putting green in areas where bringing in a rock sub-base just wouldn’t be feasible, such as a rooftop, cruise ship or deck.  If a homeowner decides to move, the Tourlinks green can simply be taken apart and installed in a new location.  Unlike a standard rock base green, the contours on a Tourlinks green can be changed by inserting foam mats under the panels until the desired break is achieved.

Whatever method you choose, the staff at Forever Putting Greens will work with you to make your putting green dreams come true.  To see pictures of these above mentioned greens click here.  Click here to get a free Putting Green Quote.
